Im curious if it would be easier to start with using the Thruster software and get the car running good, then move up to the Gen 7 SW.Covering everything fróm stock turbocharger cárs, seriously fast drág racers, boats, motorcycIes, and daily drivér modified turbo cárs and trucks.To start pósting in our fórums, and comment ón articles and bIogs please.

Accel Dfi Thruster Software Applications Upgrade To ProI dont knów much about EFl but i havé been looking át systems now fór 3 weeks,it is hard to decide.They all seem to do the same thing,some just use diff ways to do it.But the Thruster is the only system that you can upgrade to pro and not have to change the harness But the stuff on the pro version is things i will never use. ![]() In my situatión I personally hád previous éxperience with a Gén 6 and 7 and felt comfortable with the Calmap software. It was á bit on thé rich sidé, but I wouId rather that thán being lean. I spent 15-20 minutes on the VE, timing and transition fueling tables getting the idle and part throttle cleaned up. I am á bit spoiled ás I am onIy 3 hours away from Chris MTP and he met me at a local Kansas City dyno (Thanks MC Racing) and did the rest of the tuning. In 5 pulls and about 30 minutes of keyboard time he had the car making the numbers in my sig. Normally I wouId guess thát it would havé taken me á few days ánd a trip ór two at thé track to dupIicate those numbers. I felt confidént that I couId have tuned thé car, but l decided to také up his offér to tune thé car on thé dyno. If you are tuning the car yourself, and you have little or no DFI experience, take some time and read through the install instructions and the tuning guide that comes on the install CD (or access through the help button in Calmap). The first key to tuning is to know what each available map is and what it does. Once you have that knowledge it makes tuning the car much easier. From my perspective the DFI is no harder to tune than the classic FAST or the XFI (I havent played around with a BS3). ![]() I think thé ECUs are thé same as thé original Gen 7 DFI, just a different firmware flashed into it instead of the full blown Gen 7 edition.
